Evan Mark Shelline

About Evan Mark Shelline

Navy SEAL veteran · Founder and president of VETTED · Troy, Michigan

Evan Mark Shelline enlisted in the U.S. Navy after September 11, 2001 and made it through BUD/S. Of the roughly ten years he spent in uniform, about six were with the SEAL Teams. With SEAL Team 4 he deployed to Iraq twice. Two Combat Action Ribbons came out of that service, along with the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal and five Navy Achievement Medals.

The next chapter was at sea, in maritime security and counter-piracy. Evan directed more than 60 vessel protection operations, and none of them had a security incident. He credits that record to habits he still runs on: careful planning, clear roles, and getting the small things right every time.

Today he is the founder and president of VETTED, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business in Troy, Michigan that he co-owns with Chris Warburton. VETTED provides in-home care for veterans across Oakland, Macomb and Wayne counties and competes for federal contracts as a prime contractor, teaming with other veteran-owned businesses first.
